DPD Lietuva General Director Vytautas Kudzys rejoices over a possibility to join cleaning campaign Darom’09 on April 18, 2009. He admits ecological questions are solved not only by becoming a partner of various social projects but also by minimizing costs with environment friendly solutions.

“Last year we helped to save lots of trees in Lithuania. We left only paper copy for documents that need to be signed by installing computerized accounting system”, - says Mr. Vytautas Kudzys. – “Moreover, we acquired mobile scanners with GPRS connection; this entitles us to save receiver’s signature in electronic format”.
“This March was the last month when we sent invoices to our clients printed on the paper, as from now on they will be changed in electronic ones”, - adds DPD Lietuva General Director. – “Initiative is taken not only because of cost saving, we also are sorting our garbage and cleaning environment.”
According to Vytautas Kudzys, major part of companies working in logistic business are actively searching for cost minimization solutions, but main ecological problem remains environment pollution done by transport means. “Unfortunately our State’s policy is not sufficiently motivating to invest into ecological transport means. There are fines laid for violation but the lack of positive evaluation for initiatives also exists” – admitted Mr. Kudzys.
“It’s a pleasure that team of campaign “Darom’09” volunteers is growing constantly, however it is needed to develop the ground for such initiatives from higher institutions. Only by developing separate plans of ecological activities for business and society we’ll encourage to save our public recourses”, - believes DPD Lietuva General Director Vytautas Kudzys.
There were over 100 000 satisfied clients by services rendered in Lithuanian companies and institutions in March 2009. This much of appreciations were received during the last month which was named as „
An excellent service month 2009“ in Lithuania.

It was the forth time in a row when March was announced as an excellent service month. Customers were able to commend a good service by filling in the forms, calling by phone or sending sms messages.

During “An excellent service month” campaign there were selected 10 the best servicing companies in Lithuania. Yesterday, April 9, during the official “Excellent service month” awards ceremony
DPD Lietuva was announced as one of 10
the best serving companies. “We are happy to receive this award as customers’ opinion for us has a very high value” – says DPD Baltics CEO Vytautas Kudzys.
This month DPD Lietuva management will personally greet 7 the most appreciations received Lithuanian couriers who put most of their efforts rendering an excellent service to company customers.
